The Moon is important in many cultures around the world and it’s incredible energy has been used for centuries as it affects the ocean tides, nature and the seasons. The moon is associated with the divine Feminine and the magical and intuitive nature of women. I’d love to share with you my Moon story, so many women I meet tell me they have always felt a connection to the Moon!

For me it all started about 24 years ago when my daughter was young and as a single parent it was always me driving us home at night from anywhere. I remember I would see the Moon and tell her the story that the Moon was following us home to make sure we were guided back safely to our house!

I always had this sense that when looking up at the night sky I would feel I was never on my own. Mother Moon was always there looking out for me. It was my  place of safety when life became challenging.

Creating Manifest with the Moon Virtual circle came from my own transformational journey of learning all about how the moon can transform how you live your life and connect with women’s own cyclical nature. For me the Moon offers a mirror for self-awareness, a path to practise self-care and enhance our wellbeing, happiness levels and maintain a balance in our lives.

When I talk about Abundance it isn’t a synonym for money, I see it as a way of being, living in flow or superflow, a way to invite more goodness in your life. Abundance can mean gentle steeping in self-love and trusting the right process.

Our ancestors lived in alignment with the seasons and phases of the moon and the feminine energy in particular can be harnessed at this time.  Working with the moon will help bring about this inner light and balance if you feel you need to find with your feminine spirit. The new Moon is the perfect time to start the process.

3 Ways You Can Supercharge Your Gratitude

The concept of gratitude is very prominent in the self-help and personal development world, and the word itself can sometimes feel overused.  When I first heard about practicing gratitude, I was extremely sceptical at first, but willing to give it a try. I committed to using a diary and writing down three things each day that I was grateful for and surprisingly it really helped to shift my focus and make me think about the good things in my life.

When we’re consumed and overwhelmed by parts of our lives which we feel we can’t control, we often and unknowingly spiral down into a pattern of negativity, by shifting our focus to gratitude, we can improve our outlook and well-being, becoming more positive and improving our health, relationships and lowering our stress levels, gratitude has the effect of disconnecting us from negative emotions and the ‘dwelling on’ them which often occurs – particularly at this time of year, which in turn gives you a calmer and more accepting attitude.

| Four Signs that it’s Time to Adjust Your Mindset

It sounds quite simple but ultimately how we look at our lives is fundamental to whether or not we’re going to be happy or unhappy. If you are constantly consumed by negative thoughts, worries and stress, you’ll feel unsatisfied and unhappy with how your life is going – the risk is then that your perception then becomes your reality.

 

This is why working on your mindset is so important and can make a huge difference to your life.

 

The four signs that it’s time to adjust your mindset are:

 

  1. You focus on everything that’s going wrong
  2. You refuse to face the truth
  3. You become angry when your expectations aren’t met
  4. You always see yourself as a victim

Stress Relief Series | Techniques for managing Stress and Anxiety

This week I wanted to share a technique I’ve used when I’ve been feeling stressed or anxious. A number of years ago I had a serious anxiety breakdown and as a result of that I was having frequent and quite overwhelming panic attacks, brought on by the culmination of a lot of things.

 

One of the coping strategies which helped enormously when I was in a fearful state was meditation – specifically spending a few minutes focusing on my breath.

 

Meditation has had the biggest impact on me in finding ways to manage and cope with anxiety. Often, if we suffer from stress and anxiety it can be something that we are often prone to at different stages of our lives, even though you may have come through it in the past.

 

We need effective strategies to cope, we live in a world of constant fear and pressure and it’s easy to get the sense of feeling stressed and overwhelmed – being able to practice mediation and breathing doesn’t have to mean sitting for hours – it’s about focussing on your breath, simply and purely.

 

If you are particularly struggling with stress at this moment, actually focussing onto your breath and being able to shift your sense of stress and fear and concentrate on a different part of your body and re-directing your energy will create a break or shift in your thoughts.
